Palma Varsity Chieftains won big over Alisal 11-1 on Friday.

Alisal was the first to get on the board in the first when #2 drew a walk, scoring one run.

Damian Ybarra singled down the left field line on an 0-2 count, which helped Palma Varsity Chieftains tie the game at one in the top of the second.

Palma Varsity Chieftains took the lead in the top of the third. Johnny Carnazzo doubled, scoring two runs, to give Palma Varsity Chieftains the upper hand, 3-1.

Gabe Serrano earned the win for Palma Varsity Chieftains. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and one run over three innings, striking out one and walking four. #9 took the loss for Alisal. The pitcher went two innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits, striking out two and walking two. Boston Collins, Zach Gonzales, and Dylan Rocchi each came on in relief for Palma Varsity Chieftains and shutdown Alisal.

Palma Varsity Chieftains collected 10 hits in the game. Alan Gonzalez provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Palma Varsity Chieftains with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 1-for-4 on the day. Ybarra went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Palma Varsity Chieftains in hits. Carnazzo collected two hits for Palma Varsity Chieftains in four at bats. Palma Varsity Chieftains had patience at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game. Rocco Razzeca and Manny Dorantes led the team with two free passes each. Aiden Veliz and Razzeca each stole multiple bases for Palma Varsity Chieftains. Palma Varsity Chieftains ran wild on the base paths, piling up five stolen bases for the game. Palma Varsity Chieftains turned one double play in the game. Palma Varsity Chieftains were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Dorantes had the most chances in the field with six.
