Palma Hires New Varsity Boys Hoops Coach

Palma School welcomes Brian Driscoll to steer its storied basketball program and serve as Varsity Head Coach. Brian has been connected to basketball since his days in high school where he was a varsity starter for four years, made all league three of those years and was named Monterey County Player of the Year in 1991, which included a place on First Team All State.

Brian's played collegiate basketball for St. Mary's College of California where he was a four-year letter winner, two-time captain and placed in the top 10 in the West Coast Conference in 3-pointers his third season. During his tenure the team they won a gold medal at the 1994 Jones Cup in Taiwan representing the U.S.

Coach Driscoll has 20+ years experience on the coaching staffs at San Ramon Valley High School, De La Salle High School and Palma, winning numerous league and section championships.

"It is a great honor and I am very excited to be the Varsity Boys Basketball coach at Palma. Palma is a special place with a great tradition of excellence  and I can't wait to get started," Driscoll commented.

The Palma athletic community is excited about Brian starting his new position.
